Text Discussion Learning Training Based On Audio Visual Media For Class VIII Students Of SMP Negeri 12 Padang

Audio visual media is good to use to stimulate student activity and creativity in learning. The use of audio visuals allows students to learn on their own, while the application of learning in audio visual media can stimulate students' memory and creativity to solve problems that are close to them. Problems that arise in learning are problems that are often found in everyday life, but often do not receive attention. So audio-visual media is an intermediary or display used by teachers in teaching and learning activities where the material is absorbed through sight (images) and hearing (sound). With audio-visual learning media on discussion text writing skills, it can make students more interested and enthusiastic in learning. Based on field observations with the team at the school, it is known that learning outcomes, especially learning results from student discussion texts, are still within the low criteria. For this reason, training is needed in learning to write discussion texts via audio-visual. To support the creation of teacher professionalism in creating effective learning, a Community Partnership Program (PKM) was held. PKM is carried out by guiding and providing training to teachers at SMP Negeri 12 Padang so that they can use various learning media. The use of this learning media can help students to be more enthusiastic in the learning process regarding discussion text material. As a new, innovative learning media, the use of this learning media is a special attraction for students.
